3+ years of experience in email marketing operations and marketing automation system ownership
Experience with CRM and marketing automation software (Salesforce and Marketo a plus)
Marketo certification strongly preferred
Basic HTML knowledge (Preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or Business preferred with a minimum of 5+ years of online marketing experience. Association experience a plus.
This is a professional position responsible for managing operations of the marketing and education department on the Global Innovation team. Current initiatives include the product lines of Contract Documents, Architectural Adventures, and any future businesses. The position reports to the Sr. Director, Global Innovation Marketing but also supports the Director, Global Innovation Education.
CRM system ownership: Responsibilities include data management and cleaning, execution of any global data and security changes, monitoring new system releases and how new features can benefit marketing efforts, syncing with external vendors, and administering and training other system users.
Responsible for inputting, executing, tracking, and measuring the success of email marketing campaigns using marketing automation system (including database maintenance, webinar and in-person event invitations, customer communications, upsell/cross-sell emails, and lead nurturing campaigns).
CRM Strategy: Use system knowledge to determine marketing strategy campaigns including lead nurturing, renewal reminders, and customer win back campaigns as well as improving existing campaigns as new capabilities become available.
Manage implementation of email marketing campaigns to ensure send deadlines are met and report on results of campaigns.
Optimize email performance through A/B testing, personalization, and content strategy based on hard measured data.
Serve as the marketing automation and CRM platform administrator: train new and existing users, administer and manage licenses, stay abreast of the latest releases and updates, manage the vendor relationship.
Work with designer to develop and optimize landing pages and email templates to support marketing campaigns and generate leads.
Manage prospect and customer databases.Maintain data integrity, list uploads, target segmentation, and touch cadences.
Develop procedures to ensure appropriate campaign tracking is in place to provide meaningful metrics including, but not limited to, campaign performance, lead performance and landing page performance.
Identify marketplace trends, tools, and technologies that drive online acquisition and higher quality of leads.
Manage process for paid advertising including pulling data to make purchase decisions, entering all advertising in a tracking system, and ensuring ad materials are sent to vendors in a timely manner. Once leads enter the CRM system, this role will lead communications to convert leads into customers.
Serve as project manager for paid advertising and manage lead activity through marketing automation system.
Serve as logistical leader for industry tradeshows and conferences. Tasks include booth purchase and selection, booth set-up and planning, and handing shipping to and from the events. In addition to logistics, this role will handle marketing initiatives such as event invitations and promotions and post-show follow up of leads.
Once educational programs are communicated, implement marketing and promotion of these educational programs and offerings.
Assist with the communications and development of marketing campaigns to existing and potential customers to drive usage and attendance of AIA Contract Documents education offerings.
Create course registration landing pages on marketing automation platform and/or aia.org.
Handle registration issues and process refunds for in-person courses and webinars.
Create and update webpages housing recorded webinars and educational resources.
Assist in researching education opportunities at tradeshows and other events.
